The Bregenzerwald region stretches from around our Wälderhus across lush meadows, dense forests and impressive peaks. The ‘Wald‘ (‘Forest’) for short is regarded as one of the most interesting areas around Lake Constance. It’s famous for the work of its craftsmen and -women that may, for instance, be admired at the ‘Werkraum Bregenzerwald’-Haus, which was designed by Peter Zumthor.
People here enjoy such leisure pursuits as hiking, alpine and cross-country skiing and golf.
